a user hostile experience

I conquered the Adobe .epub DMR, and now I can read my new, shiny Jeeves & Wooster collections on my Kindle. I cannot fucking wait for Adobe's DMR to be cracked. This entire journey has been ludacris in the extreme, from finding a place to buy the books all the way to getting them on my reader. To Recap... )

So, I downloaded two Wodehouse complations from Waterstones. I have a Kindle. It has been a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE to get my book onto my reader. So far I have:

  • Installed Python 2.6.4

  • Installed Python 2.6

  • Unintallled Python 2.6

  • Swear at computer

  • Realize that I did not uninstall 2.6.4

  • Reinstall Python 2.6

  • Fail to install Python as my admin account is not being recognized as an admin account x 4

  • Run installer from command line

  • Install CryptoPython

  • Create .pyw files

  • Try to associate .pyw files though right click

  • Try to associate .pyw files though command line

  • Reboot Computer

  • Try to associate .pyw files though right click

  • Try to associate .pyw files though command line

  • Find Out that you MUST install Python for all users with Vista 64 bit, or Python won't work.

  • Cry.

  • </ul

I can't seem to figure out what's the technological problem. My laptop keeps claiming that the wireless signal is non-existant, when it's just on the other side of the wall. And when I switch off from my home network, I can use a neighbors wireless fine. And, eventually, when I switch back to my home network it works again... for a while.

I have absolutely no problem reciving the signal when I am further away from the router.
